No More GrabMyEssay Reviews

The first thing you notice when looking for information on writers is that GrabMyEssay does not have a dedicated page with their profiles. Writers are anonymous to the customers and vice-versa. Clearly, it’s done to protect the client’s identity, but also, to ensure the middleman is not eliminated.

GrabMyEssay has done an amazing job with its SEO, whereby most of the information online is carefully curated. But if you dig deep enough, you can find people who have written some poor reviews claiming the writers are to blame. According to some opinions online, GrabMyEssay doesn’t hire native English speakers despite claiming otherwise.

Obviously, we had to check it. I ordered a 4-page essay on Technology & Its Impact on Unemployment for a Master’s level and due in 3 days. The total price was a whopping $108! I didn’t pay extra for a premium writer.

The final essay was OK, but not a Master’s level. I discovered some spelling mistakes. Plus, the writer used outdated references and lacked deep analytical skills.

The service claims they only hire native speakers with years of academic writing experience and higher ed degrees. Yet, from my paper, it wasn’t obvious.

The prices at GrabMyEssay are quite high, so it’s natural that one might want to have a discount. They lure you in with a sweet GrabMyEssay discount for your first order, and they make you stay with the loyalty program.

It’s genius marketing, but is it really that good for the customer? We don’t think so. Their prices are high compared to other services, and even if you get a loyalty discount, the final price won’t compare to other, cheaper services.

The best way to reduce the price is to look for a GrabMyEssay promo code. You can do that by following their social media and newsletters, as such companies will often post promotional materials on their social media.

But does a student really want to follow an essay writing service on all their social media platforms? It doesn’ look too good if a parent of professor sees it.

So, if you’re wondering how to reduce the price of GrabMyEssay, the answer is simple ‒ use a different service because GrabMyEssay is objectively expensive. Especially so for higher academic levels.

As we have already mentioned, GrabMyEssay is a rather expensive service, especially if you need a large or urgent paper. Of course, every service adds an urgency fee, but in the case of GrabMyEssay, it is often not worth it.

Their essay writing prices start at $12.74 for high-school students. A fresher would have to pay $13.59; the sophomore price is $14.44, then $16.44, $17.84, $19.54, and, finally, $22 for a doctoral-level paper.

This difference comes from the fact that for each grade paper, they will give you a more experienced writer; hence, they will be paid more. However, if a writer is anonymous and you can’t see or confirm their credentials, how do you know what you’re getting?

Their additional services also come at a hefty fee. For example, you would pay $20 for the ability to see drafts as the order progresses. Some other services offer that for free.

Also, they offer a $29.99 originality report, while on the main page it says you can get one for free. A premium writer would cost you +20% to the cost of your order, and a top-10 writer service costs a whopping 40%!

If you’re ordering a dissertation, these fees can stack up to hundreds, if not throusands of dollars!

Many grabmyessay.com reviews praise the support team. We encountered the support team several times while ordering our paper and here is our opinion.

The agents are quite quick to reply in live chat, and they write respectfully and politely.

When we called the customer service, the agent did have some kind of accent, but it was hard to identify. She asked a lot of questions, apparently stalling for time. She also put me on hold several times.

We called to ask about the order progress because the essay didn’t appear to have a writer assigned for several hours. But the agent assured me it will be assigned soon, and it was, in the next 30 minutes.

The support agents are quite knowledgeable and have an answer to every question you ask them. When I asked for a revision, my order’s status changed immediately. The agent took my instructions for the revision and apologized for the writer’s mistake, which was a nice touch.

The support team does work 24/7. I called and texted at different times of the day and got a reply every time. Sure, it took longer in peak hours, but it’s natural.

The money-back guarantee is not a guarantee at all. The only way you’ll get a full refund is if your order has never been delivered or if you canceled it before the writer has been assigned.

If your claim is poor quality, you are unlikely to get over 70% refund because the writer’s work has to be compensated anyway. They will not refund an editing, proofreading, or rewriting order. Neither will they refund an urgent order (with a three-hour deadline).

Also, if they ask you for an extension, and you give it to them, they will not refund you for a delay because you’ve agreed to the extension.

All in all, the refund policy is somewhat hostile to the customer, and it’s no guarantee that you’ll get your money back at all.

It is unclear where and how GrabMyEssay sources its writers. While the company claims they are native English speakers, online users state that poor quality, along with spelling mistakes and misused words, are a common experience and reason for revision.

As for the essay we ordered, it contained spelling mistakes and no critical analysis. From the point of view of essay writing, this is a serious mistake because spelling can be checked in seconds by a program for entering each word, so for the author not to do a basic spell check is simply strange.

Overall, through, the quality was not horrible, but at the same time, definitely not worth the price.

When we received our essay, I immediately checked it on independent platforms for plagiarism and AI content. It was original and human-written.

When we requested a free plagiarism report, we got a document from a service that didn’t look familiar, so it was definitely not Turnitin. Apparently, they will give you the Turnitin report if you pay $30 for this service. The plagiarism percentage matched, though ‒ it was 3% in both reports.

Overall, GrabMyEssay takes the issue of plagiarism seriously. They claim to check each order every step of the way to avoid any possibility of plagiarism.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to verify this claim. However, looking through their online reviews, we didn't find too many complaints or questions like “Does GrabMyEssay scam?”.

GrabMyEssay has a 4.2 score on SiteJabber, with 215 reviews, which is not that many. They don’t have a page on TrustPilot, and the rest of Grab My Essay reviews look paid for. From our analysis of their SiteJabber page, we see that many of those reviews seem fake as well. Here’s how I know:

1) They all come from new users with no other reviews.

2) All the reviews are positive.

3) They come in batches ‒ two reviews are posted on one day, three are posted the next day, and six are posted on another day.

4) The reviews are never posted on Sunday. This means they write and send them for approval on Friday, the review gets posted on Saturday, and then, on Monday, the work starts again, and new reviews are written.

Of course, you can say it's a coincidence, but the last bad review we could find was published on Sunday, November 19.
